First Participation, Two Awards: Silver & Bronze Wins at the WPE International Photography Awards
I’m happy to share that two of my portraits have been awarded at the WPE International Photography Awards 2025, marking my first participation in this prestigious competition.
Both works were recognized in the Portrait AI (Artificial Intelligence) category, earning:
Silver Award for the piece featuring a cracked, gold-touched face—an exploration of fragility and transformation.
Bronze Award for the portrait of a man holding a shattered mirror—an image reflecting introspection and the emotional fractures we live with.
Each image belongs to a larger body of work that examines the intersection between human emotion and artificial creation, inviting the viewer to see AI not as distance, but as proximity—to step closer to what it reveals about us.
About the WPE Awards
The WPE Awards (World Photographic Cup Edition) are organized by the Professional Photographers Europe Community and recognize outstanding achievements in photography worldwide.
Now in its 21st edition, the competition gathers professional photographers from across the globe, offering categories that span from traditional portraiture to AI-generated art. Each year culminates in the Annual Final, where top-ranked photographers compete for the World Cup of Photography and the €2,000 Grand Prize.
Winning two awards in my first entry feels like a meaningful introduction to this community of international creators and a powerful affirmation that AI-generated imagery continues to find its place among the most respected circles of photography.

Looking Forward
These recognitions motivate me to keep exploring AI as an expressive medium, one capable of evoking empathy, memory, and inner conflict—bridging the gap between technology and emotion.
This first step with the WPE Awards is both humbling and inspiring, opening new ground for AI art within the broader world of international photography.
