An Update on Artiade 2026
Artiade has announced that its 2026 exhibition will be postponed. The funding needed to stage the event to the standard its organisers intended could not be secured in time, so they have chosen to wait rather than compromise the exhibition.
I was disappointed that I won’t see Feed Me Softly exhibited this November, but I understand the decision and trust their judgment. What I particularly appreciated was how clearly and personally the news was communicated. Renate Westhoff, Artiade’s founder, wrote to the selected artists to explain what happened and confirm that our selections remain valid. The works will be shown at the next Artiade exhibition.
Plans change, especially when an international exhibition depends on many moving parts. The thoughtful way Artiade has handled this gives me confidence in what comes next. I’m looking forward to the confirmed dates and to seeing Feed Me Softly exhibited when the time comes.
Until then, I’ll keep creating.
