Greece’s First AI Film Festival

Feels surREAL Selected for Screening at Greece’s First AI Film Festival, Larissa Lumina

I am thrilled to share that Feels surREAL, my first AI-driven short film, has been selected to screen at the Larissa Lumina AI Short Film Festival—Greece’s first film festival dedicated exclusively to AI cinema! From over 200 submissions from 40 countries, only 66 films were chosen for screening, and I’m incredibly honored that Feels surREAL will be among them.

Held in Larissa, near the mythic slopes of Mount Olympus, the festival celebrates the powerful blend of Greece’s ancient heritage and the limitless possibilities of artificial intelligence. Drawing inspiration from the legend of Lumina, the “10th Muse” who was lost to history, this festival resurrects her spirit through technology, uniting the timeless with the futuristic in a celebration of AI storytelling. It’s a fitting backdrop for a film like Feels surREAL, which dives deep into the surreal and emotional landscapes of the human mind, inviting viewers to find their own interpretations within each frame.

This gathering of talent from around the world promises to be nothing short of inspiring. With 66 selected films exploring themes of consciousness, intelligence, and our evolving humanity, Larissa Lumina aims to open dialogues on what it means to tell stories in an AI-enhanced world. Ten films will be named finalists, and five will emerge as winners, with the results to be announced after the festival. Knowing that Feels surREAL was chosen for screening in such a selective group reaffirms the belief that AI has become a vital partner in the artistic process, breathing new life into stories while letting the heart of each idea stay beautifully human.

I’ll be attending the festival in Larissa from November 14-15 at JOIST, and I couldn’t be more excited to connect with fellow creators, innovators, and viewers who share a passion for the fusion of art and technology. Feels surREAL was created with the hope of letting AI add another layer of depth to our understanding of emotion and perception, and this festival feels like the perfect place to share that vision.

Thank you to the Larissa Lumina AI Short Film Festival for this amazing opportunity, and to everyone who’s supported me and Feels surREAL along the way. It’s an honor to be part of Greece’s AI film legacy, and I can’t wait to see what lies ahead in this creative journey.
