From Non-Professional to Professional: 3rd Place at the 2025 International Photography Awards
I’m honored to share that my photo series “Ancomfortable Truths” has been awarded 3rd Place in the Professional – Special / AI-Generated Images category at the 2025 International Photography Awards (IPA).
This recognition marks an important milestone for me. Last year, I received 1st Place in the same category as a Non-Professional, and now, only a year later, I’ve stepped into the Professional category and placed among the top winners worldwide. To me, this progression represents not only growth in my work but also a growing acceptance of AI-driven storytelling within the global photography community.
About the Work: “Ancomfortable Truths”
The “A” in the title is intentional, a wordplay that emphasizes Addiction, which lies at the core of the series.
This work explores addiction’s quiet moments. Not the chaos, not the extremes—but the weight of what lingers in between. I use AI as a tool to express stories that are often invisible, difficult to capture with a camera, or hidden behind silence.
The style is cinematic, raw, and intimate. Each frame feels like another room in the same haunted house of the human condition—a world where the light is visible, but always just out of reach. These images aren’t meant to be looked at from afar. They are meant to pull you inside, to make you sit with discomfort, and to reflect on the fragile balance between struggle and survival.

Looking Ahead
This recognition by the IPA reaffirms my commitment to using AI not as a replacement for traditional tools, but as a new way of expressing stories that matter. Photography has always been about truth, and with AI, I want to uncover truths that are harder to frame but no less real.
